Welcome to A Worldwide Education!
This website exists for a number of reasons:
The first is to chronicle my journey to becoming a global teacher. My first and foremost short-term goal is to raise money for my trip to Malawi in the summer of 2009. But, I also want to share my experiences with friends, family, and fellow teachers.
The second goal of this website is to educate. Here you will find information about HIV/AIDS, the programme that I will be working with in Malawi, as well as a number of other issues that I find important, such as poverty, global conflicts, and children's rights. There are also links and resources for teachers and students such as lesson plans and activities.
I hope that as this website grows, so does your appreciation of the world.
